Description

Now astronomical darkness has disappeared globs make for attractive targets when the clouds coooperate! I was a bit surprised to see I never imaged M3 before so no harm ticking that off the list... I noticed that a comet was close by so framed it so both M3 and magnitude +10.3 Comet C/2020 T2 Palomar were visible at the same time. It's not the most spectacular comet but after all a comet is a comet is a comet.... It needed an off balance rotation of the imaging train and the flats didn't seem to work as well as normal - no idea why (addendum - think I may have run into a bug in nightly NINA for dynamic exposure in flat wizard).

For efficiency-sake the RGB frames were binned 2x2 this time to make the most of the limited darkness.

I gave the new comet registration in the 1.083 beta of APP a try for the first time and the cropped result is the overlay. Seems to do what it says on the tin!
